One of the key goals that Phil Aronson, the CEO and President of Aronson Security Group (ASG), has requested from his executive team, is to take a leadership role in the industry and help it grow in influence and value.
Over the last few years, ASG has evolved from a security systems integrator to a Security Risk Management Services (SRMS) provider. This has been in response to a demand from Chief Security Officers and their teams for a more comprehensive methodology that encompasses strategy, planning, technology architecture design, deployment and integration, as well as performance management.
However, that does not mean ASG ignores their partners and competition in the systems integration market. In fact, ASG has taken a leadership role in advancing the professionalism and quality execution of integrators around the world. One of the ways we have done this is through our membership in PSA.
PSA is the world’s largest systems integrator cooperative made up of the most progressive security and audio-visual systems integrators in North America. Combined, PSA members boasts over 400 branch locations, employ over 7,500 industry professionals and are responsible for over $4.5 billion annually in security, fire, life safety and pro audio-visual installations. PSA’s mission is to empower its owners to become the most successful systems integrators in the markets they serve. PSA brings this mission to life by partnering with industry leading product and solution providers, delivering unparalleled education and training programs and by offering a variety of distinctive services that can enhance any company’s operations.
The ASG executive team is involved in multiple ways in helping PSA members become more valuable by providing leadership roles in the following PSA Committees:
- PSA Cyber Security Committee: Scott Schmidt, ASG VP of Technology - Member
- PSA Project Management Committee: Robert Flynn, ASG SVP of Operations - Vice Chair
- PSA Technical Committee: Robert Birley, ASG SVP of Engineering and Performance Management - Chair
And on September 8, PSA announced a new Chair for its Leadership Committee, Nigel Waterton our SVP of Corporate Strategy and Development.
“The PSA Leadership Committee provides invaluable content to our integrator community,” said Anthony Berticelli, director of education for PSA. “They are charged with developing resources that help business leaders improve their own leadership and management talents to influence morale in their own organizations. It’s no small feat and we are pleased that Nigel Waterton has stepped up to chair this committee to help continue to drive these efforts forward.”
"I am proud that my executive team has taken valuable time from their critical roles at ASG and with their families to give back to their industry", said Aronson. "They will help leave a legacy of innovation that will last for generations."
