Bellevue, Washington – April 1, 2015 – The Great Conversation in Security, the only forum focused on next generation security leadership, program development, and metrics, will return to Chantilly, VA on October 12 and 13, 2015 at the Westfields Marriott. Two global integrators, Kratos Public Safety & Security Solutions (Kratos PSS) and Aronson Security Group (ASG), will be the hosts of the forum.
"I've been attending security conferences for decades and the Great Conversation stands out for its laser focus on sparking conversations between security professionals," said Ed Bacco, CSO, Secure Gravity, Inc.
The Great Conversation is held annually on both the east and west coast. On March 3rd and 4th, the forum was held in Seattle, Washington and attracted over 250 senior executives from 85 companies, including 19 states and 3 countries.
“The Great Conversation delivers security executives a path to value for risk, resilience, and leadership,” said Ron Worman, CEO of The Sage Group. “Next generation leadership is fundamental to creating a compelling value proposition for security in the organization.”
“Kratos has personally seen the value from this forum,” said Ben Goodwin, President of Kratos PSS. “We have seen the thought leaders in the industry convene and have serious conversations about how our market is changing and what practices and technology will need to be deployed to meet the challenges ahead. We are pleased to lend our hand and our voice to this premier leadership forum.”
“Aronson Security Group has always believed in leadership, innovation, and change,” said Phil Aronson, President of ASG. “We want to be seen as an advocate for positive steps that add value to our industry. We have seen how the conversations that were initiated at this forum have encouraged new ideas, new coalitions, and transformed change in security executive programs.”
Attendees have two options for attending the Forum: a one-day or two-day program. The twoday program begins with the Security Executive Council’s Next Generation Security Leader (NGSL) Program. This is a tuition-based program for current and emerging leaders and their teams led by CSO-level faculty. It takes place on Monday, October 12th. This is followed by The Great Conversation & Technology Showcase Forum on October 13th. The second day includes interactive panel discussions with CSOs, leading technology representatives and breakout sessions showcasing the application of technology through an executive-level case study. The one-day option is for the second day only.
“The Security Executive Council is excited to return to the Washington D.C. area,” said Francis D’Addario, Security Executive Council Emeritus Faculty and former CSO, Starbucks. ”The intimacy of the Chantilly, Virginia venue lends itself to capturing necessary insights and nuances from the leaders of our time and of the future.”
