Convenience meets Security on the Desktop
The most obvious and primary component of HID on the Desktop is the "converged" card-a single credential that can be used as a photo ID badge, as a "key" that opens doors and as a second authentication factor for logging into the IT infrastructure.

• Simple and convenient to use
• Able to improve risk management
• Easy to install and maintain
• Reliable and secure

HID FIPS 201 Readers
HID's FIPS 201 Government Smart Card products are designed for United States government agencies and contractors adopting contactless smart card technology.

The iCLASS® R10, R30, R40, RK40 and RP40 model access control readers have been approved by U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) as Transparent Contactless Readers for their FIPS 201 Approved Products List. The certifications now enable HID Global to provide government agencies and other organizations with a trusted source for FIPS 201 certified contact and contactless smart card readers. In addition to these readers, HID has also received approval on the iCLASS OEM 150 module to assist any customers embedding this product into their own.

In addition, the OMNIKEY® 3021, 3121, 3621, 3821, 3921, 4040, 4321, 5125, and 5321 have been approved and are on the FIPS 201 Approved Products List.

The iCLASS multi-technology line allows an agency's access control system to function properly during the transition from current card technology to the new FIPS 201 card requirements. iCLASS readers simplify the conversion to the new standard because they are capable of simultaneously reading legacy cards and the new FIPS 201 cards. The readers are built on an extremely flexible platform that allows for numerous output configurations to address compatibility challenges with all access control systems and to permit the ability to be upgraded when needed.

iCLASS migration solutions
Multi-technology readers are designed for customers upgrading their current card system from HID Prox to iCLASS® credentials.

multiClassThe multiCLASS product line simplifies one of the major challenges in any technology upgrade project: the ability to use existing cards, deploy multi-technology cards and transition to new contactless smart card technology without having to change the access control system card holder database. With multiCLASS, customers are able to transition to contactless smart cards over time while incorporating the use of multiple card technologies within a single building or across multiple facilities. Only the multiCLASS family of products provides true iCLASS security, the ease of proximity, the power of smart cards and the confidence of choosing HID, the worldwide leader in access control.
