The Value Stream of Security

  • Information must be organized, managed and leveraged
  • Optimization requires a baseline, then a Persistent Performance Management Plan
  • Technology Solutions must be designed and integrated to deliver information and metrics
  • Operators must be users of technology and technology must be user friendly
  • Operators use patterns and actions (inputs and outputs) must add to the intelligence, improvement and continuous innovation of the operation

The Global Security Network

Global Security Network Graphic

ASG uses the term Global Security Network as a means to describe how they work with its current vendor partner community and its future partners.

The underlying premise of this collaborative body is to break down the walls between the disciplines thereby increasing the effectiveness and value of security within their organization. To do this requires a highly leveraged and collaborative model for investing and delivering on the critical value steps that every organization must address to ensure that its risk and security plan is aligned with and drives key organizational objectives.

Using this methodology will deliver a consistent and predictable experience in mitigating risks and supporting organizational objectives. Without this, each step is a silo that potentially creates risk and/or decreases the effectiveness of the organization.

Conversations with Global Security Network Partners

A new definition of integration is emerging that focuses on the Value Stream of Security. The following video series features security industry professionals who were asked to provide on-camera interviews in order to:

  • Introduce this important concept

  • Help security professionals understand this trend

  • Move the security industry forward by stimulating conversation and action

In this series you will learn how ASG and its partners are taking the concept of a Global Security Network working in the context of a collaborative model and taking it to the next level. As you watch the series and read the blogs, the meaning behind the statement "I am the Global Security Network" becomes clear: The Global Security Network is not an organization; it is a philosophy for doing business. It seeks collaboration with subject matter experts in critical areas of the risk and security function, and suggests that they work within a common set of values, objectives and methodology to create a fully optimized and leveraged program for their clients.
