Sage Software's Challenge
Sage Software's Beaverton, Oregon office recently made the decision to remodel their building lobby. While planning the new design of the lobby area, Sage identified the need to strengthen its lobby security with the addition of double doors separating the reception atrium from the interior common area and offices in the building’s core. Additionally, access to the lobby elevator needed to be secured.
Unfortunately, Sage soon realized they were out of touch with their current security system. The existing system had partially replaced two prior systems and was tied into the building’s fire alarm system. Sage lacked any formal documentation detailing how the system worked and lacked clear knowledge of which system components were critical and which were redundant or unnecessary.
