Join Security’s Great Conversation and Be a Part of the Future of Security

By Phil Aronson, President of Aronson Security Group

ASG SummitOpportunity has a window. The next generation of security is upon us. The window is open. We will be discussing this opportunity as a ‘Great Conversation’ on March 6, 2012.

You might say “Security is a cost center”.

You might say that “Security is about risk and opportunity.”

You might say that “Security must demand from its vendors a new level of information aggregation to drive business intelligence.”

Whatever you do say, the conversation will continue on March 6 with keynote speakers on how the cloud will drive cost and value optimization, how identity management is the key to the next generation of access control, and how the public and private sector integration will create opportunities for astute security executives around the world.

You know this event as the 11th Annual ASG Security Summit & Expo, a certified ‘Great Conversation’ event.

What is a ‘Great Conversation’ Event? It is known by providing a roadmap to guide your future plans. It is known by a glimpse of emerging technology. It is known as a value exchange between its participants and its speakers, creating a dynamic that guides the industry. It is known as a ‘Great Conversation’.

Today we launch the online registration for the 2012 ASG Security Summit & Expo taking place at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center in Seattle on Tuesday March 6th 2012. Over the past few years we have asked attendees, clients, customers, technology vendors and thought leaders that participated in the Summit to give us feedback on what you want to learn at the Summit and the conversations you are interested in having. Here is what you demanded:  “We need to cut costs, optimize our current processes and improve the value we are getting out of our technology. At the end of the day, we want to drive value in our organizations.”

So at the 2012 Summit I urge you to be ready to talk about the Cloud, Identity, Information, Intelligence and Metrics! ASG believes that security’s cost of doing business is on the table. There are unexploited redundancies in the people, processes and tools required to meet the risk. Security is under leveraged. The cost of the infrastructure prevents innovation that will drive a higher level of service to the organization.

The Great Conversation is about thought leadership and collaboration for all members of the security industry in order to find best practices and shape the future of the industry. That contribution could influence technology vendors’ roadmaps, process and compliance standards, as well as training and certifications that undergird our profession all with one common goal. Bring the entire Global Security Network together for an intense one day ‘conversation’ that you will never forget!

I believe we all have an important stake in the future of security. And everything about the Summit has been designed to make your voice heard, to connect you in ways you never imagined, and to help you drive the performance of security to new levels.

I care deeply about this industry, and I know you all feel the same. So I urge you all to join this Great Conversation and drive the future of security together.

Phil Aronson
