The People Problem

Ah… people. They are what make your organization successful! Without people you have little chance of achieving your goals, let alone changing the industry. The problem is, more often than not, people aren’t valued. The work people do is often overlooked; what organizations typically focus on are the end results.
To truly equip your team to lead the rest of the company (and industry for that matter) you have to teach them how to lead, get them into the right roles and have clear communication in both directions. This is not typical in the working environment today. Instead of people leading people, we have people managing people. The mantra has changed from pushing people toward success to managing them and keeping the status quo - not rocking the boat.
Focusing on leadership and the idea of finding a solution to the “People Problem,” we asked Phil Aronson the following four questions to understand how he has cultivated people to create a successful company that is a leader in the security industry.
• What does good communication between people look like in an organization?
• How do you measure the success of the leaders within your company?
• In what ways do you try to show people you value them?
• What is the most important key for future leaders as they develop people under them?
