ASG Great Conversation to Continue with PSA Security Network

As a speaker and attendee at ASG’s 10th Annual Security Summit and Expo in Seattle, Washington, I found the event to be a great success. I was impressed with the scope and professionalism of the event.
ASG’S Great Conversation brought together end-users, integrators, consultants, and even key manufacturers which has not been done before. The majority of attendees were end-users, which is unusual.
During my State of Industry presentation, I discussed the current physical model and the future physical security model that integrators need to adapt to in order to be successful. The existing model for many integrators of merely selling a product and avoiding service is rapidly changing and for a good reason. Without a recurring revenue model, many integrators will be out of business due to the margin squeeze the industry is experiencing.
The Great Conversation will continue at PSA-TEC in May during a class called “Knowing Who You Are: The Scorecard for the Next Generation Integrator.” In addition, there are a variety of other courses covering Business Optimization, IT, Managed Services, Physical Security, and a Technology Showcase.
