Why Should You Participate in The Great Conversation™?

Bill BozemanSubmitted by Bill Bozeman, CEO of PSA Security Network, Speaker at the ASG Security Summit & Expo & Security Leadership Knowledge Partner of The Great Conversation™

The Great Conversation™, which grew out of the ASG Security Summit & Expo and Security Executive Council, is a place where all members of the security community can share honest insights to improve the strategic value of security in each business and organization.

This year PSA Security Network has been invited to participate.  PSA Security Network® is the world’s largest electronic security cooperative. This for-profit organization encompasses more than 200 electronic security systems integrators, aligning them with over 250 vendor partners. By combining purchasing power and resources of the largest vendors with the strengths and personal attention to detail of locally-owned companies these leading security systems integrators within the PSA network have access to the latest security and commercial sound products, certifications and best practices necessary to develop cost-effective security solutions.

As we move into the future of security, The Great Conversation™ will qualify industry events based on how they can help achieve its main goal of bringing representatives for all areas of our ecosystem together to form best practices, thought leadership, advancements in technology and a new breed of security leadership.  Some of the upcoming Great Conversation Events PSA is participating in are:

The Great Conversation™: State of the Security Industry
At the ASG Security Summit & Expo on March 8th, 2011 and online through The Great Conversation™ webcast, Ron Worman, Managing Director of The Sage Group, Bob Hayes, Managing Director of The Security Executive Council, and Bill Bozeman will discuss the state of the industry to open up the “conversation.” Today, as the business model and industry are changing, and theThe Great Conversation demand for security intelligence is high, Bill will talk about the risks and opportunities in the security profession. Throughout the Summit and The Great Conversation™ Webcast, we will continue to talk about these challenges and opportunities facing the industry today.

The Virtual Breakouts at The Great Conversation™
In addition to the main stage Keynote Speakers, attendees of the live Webcast will have the ability to view real world case studies and technology showcases.  PSA will feature a session that will discuss the impact of managed security services. Managed security services are being introduced to end-users to save money through efficiencies and costs associated through leveraging cloud computing and the outsourcing of services.  “This allows end-users to save money on overhead and better utilize resources,” said PSA’s CEO Bill Bozeman, “Conversations like these will help end-users explain to integrators their security and operational needs. The benefits are immeasurable to the attendees.”

There will be an opportunity to ask questions and make comments on PSA’s presentation so we are able to collect information needed to successfully evaluate the relevance of these services our member’s businesses.

The Great Conversation™ at PSA-TEC
The Great Conversation™ will continue at PSA-TEC on May 16-20, 2011 in Denver, Colorado. Through the course: “Knowing Who You Are: The Scorecard for the Next Generation Integrator,” the Security Executive Council will present an interactive conversation discussing the current risk environment and how to survive it through new model innovations to create value for target markets and clients.

I, personally, am excited to be a part of The Great Conversation™ and sustain the momentum that has been built at PSA-TEC. PSA is excited to have this valuable opportunity to speak to the industry and to be apart of this groundbreaking event alongside the Security Executive Council.

Whether you can attend these events or watch them online, there is a great opportunity for all members of the security industry to talk to peers about challenges and real solutions to all business practices and create the new breed of security leadership.
