How Do You Navigate Change in the Security Industry?

The challenge for any leader in any industry is how to navigate change. Change will impact their people, their business model, their processes, and, ultimately, the value of their organization.

1. This impact of change is no different for Security Executives.

2. They must navigate changes in several areas including, their Organization’s business model and business strategies

3. The Risk Model associated with their changing business

4. Emerging trends around technology products

5. The business and risk intelligence needed from the information they are collecting

6. The evolving ecosystem of vendors and the challenge in authenticating their capabilities to leverage them into the future.

Any ‘solution’ must have a basis in measurement and a performance model to improve a process over time.  Security executives need to find colleagues and partners who understand this. The greatest challenge from any of these ‘change’ areas is finding authenticated services from vendors (consultants, integrators and manufacturers) that will align with those needs.
