The Great Conversation™ Continues...100 Days and Counting

If you attended the ASG Security Summit & Expo over the last 10 years, then you know if you are a part of the security ecosystem, this is an event you don’t want to miss! The summit is attended by key industry decision makers and influencers, from every vertical. Your peers are ready to share their critical security issues and lessons learned. As well, you have the opportunity to learn about the real-world solutions from emerging and existing technology vendors.

Blue Prints SmallWe all need a roadmap. Your leadership and value depends on creating a predictable path to value for your organization. At the Summit, you will be hearing from security executives and industry thought leaders as they challenge and encourage you new levels of thinking. Through the Summit’s case study breakouts you will see those ‘ideas’ get translated into real-world implementations from the original ‘problem’ statement through the methodology used to approach the need, and finally to the solution and the metrics used to measure its success.

Finally, technology vendors will be there to answer your questions throughout the day with their latest technologies and thoughts on the road ahead.

But the ASG Security Summit & Expo isn’t just in Seattle and it isn't just a one day event!

Last year ASG, with the support of the, Security Executive Council (SEC), launched The Great Conversation™. The intent was to create a broad-based forum that would lead the security ecosystem to new levels of value: personally, professionally and organizationally. ASG believes that each member of the security ecosystem has something valuable to contribute to ‘The Conversation.’ Whether you are the Chief Security Officer of a major organization, or the Access Control Manager of a local hospital or clinic, you have ideas, experience and knowledge to share that directly contributes to this conversation. And that contribution could influence product manufacturers’ roadmaps, process and compliance standards, as well as training and certifications that undergird our profession.

Last year, ASG was able to bring an unprecedented number of security end users, manufacturers, and thought leaders to a one day event to talk about the future of security, the next generation of security leadership, and the emerging challenges that face us all. This year, we will be offering multiple ways to join “The Great Conversation.”

The Conversation Has Already Started, Don’t Miss Out!

The ASG Security Blog is a venue where security conversations take place before and after the Summit. It contains advice, ideas, and strategies that have been tested and used. It has Technology Vendors as well as industry thought leaders throughout the industry creating stimulating questions and provocative answers. The conversations are happening every day and your voice is needed. We’ll be offering ideas, getting feedback from you, and trying to start the conversations early this year through the Blog. Let us know what you think about Microsoft Global Security’s renewed sense of purpose after the events of 9-11 or share your thoughts on Milestone’s Open Platform approach to IP video surveillance. Learn about solutions from other sponsors like Anixter, HID and the latest views on risk from the Security Executive Council. We’ll be using the Blog to announce upcoming speakers, breakout topics, and interviews with manufacturers and solution providers about how the industry is changing.

Before the Summit on March 8th, you can also visit the Virtual Expo and learn about all the security solutions offered by leading technology vendors, download valuable case studies and ask for information on how you too can benefit from their unique knowledge and industry expertise.

Get Unique Ideas and Practical Solutions When You Want Them

Another new feature that will be available to all those wanting to be a part of The Great Conversation™ but unable to make it to the Seattle event is the The Great Conversation Online broadcast. The main stage presentations from some of the top thought leaders of the security industry will be streamed live during this broadcast. In addition, there will be a series of On-Demand Breakout Sessions featuring real-world solutions from many of the technology vendors participating in the conference.

While live breakout session case studies will still be a critical part of the ASG Summit Seattle event, we are offering even more content that can be viewed by attendees, whenever they choose, during and after the event through the online audience. With so much quality content to experience, we know that you cannot possibly take it all in. So, we'll give you the option to peruse it at your leisure up to December 31, 2011!

Of course, you won’t be able to interact directly with the subject of the case studies or the integrator or solution manufacturer in the On-Demand Breakout Sessions like you will in the live ones at the ASG Summit on March 8th. But, we know you’ll still find a good idea or two that you can implement yourself and you’ll still be able to send in your comments in a variety of ways. Information will always be featured through the ASG Security Blog as well as from the manufacturers in our online Virtual Expo.

Don’t Miss Your Chance to Be A Part of The Great Conversation

As of today, we are 100 days from the 10th Annual ASG Security Summit & Expo. There are a limited number of spaces available  year, so don’t wait until they are gone! Register today to ensure your participation in The Great Conversation on March 8th, 2011.

One more important message: The ASG Summit and Expo has always been our way of giving back to the industry. Although the Summit is often compared to events that charge up to $1,500 per person, we have always wanted the focus to be on the community involvement of a diverse industry and knowledge base. However, because we have added many new features, we have decided to apply a small charge for registration and administration purposes this year. We will continue to attempt to keep these charges at a minimum every year. Thank you for your support.
